I’m particularly fond of unique concepts that deliver, and 001 is one that doesn’t disappoint. Tucked behind some shoddy street stands in the wet market on Wellington Street is a curiously clean door with a spotlight on a doorbell, and an even more curious camera monitoring your every move. Though there’s a relatively strict door policy (no groups larger than 6 and you’ll only ever hear about the place via word of mouth), what you find inside is a wonderfully tasteful conceptualization of a modern day speakeasy.
